What features should we work on?

Inventory

Need the ability to categorize Inventory Purchases. This is on the Schedule C under COGS. As of now, my purchases are being imported but I can't properly categorize them.

        I don't even understand how we can be expected to function without the COGS category. This is ridiculous.

        Inventory is a necessary category for SE online. I need this feature now or the online SE is worthless. Please get this done quickly.

        The COGS request has been initially placed in 2015. The fact that it has not been implemented by now is beyond disappointing! It surely doesn't take 3 years to make this addition.

        Where do I classify my inventory? App isn't worth paying for if it doesn't have this ability. Please help asap.

        I am really confused because you say, don’t use materials And supplies for inventory, but you don’t tell me WHERE to list my inventory purchases ? New user, please help.

        I have waiting for 3 years, but see that there is still no movement on this issue. QB: When will you be adding COGS as a category? I cannot prepare my Schedule C without it.

        Yet ANOTHER old post asking for a simple accounting category that STILL hasn’t been implemented. Are you trying to get people to leave your program?

        And this should, along with all the other subcategories, be printable on the P& L / Tax Reports.

        in a previous post, you suggested using "supplies" as a place to put COGs, and then adjust the name when you export it. Then where do I put supplies, we have office supplies and shop supplies that we need to track.

        You can use the category "supplies" as the place where you put your COGs. Then, when you export the xls tax details summary, just change the name to COGs. A name is just a name. All the programmers need to do is allow users to modify the category names.

        My business can't be done without inventory, but there's no inventory category. Under the supplies category, it says, "do not use for inventory," but there's no inventory category. Inventory is my biggest expense and this app won't help me very much if there's no way for me to categorize it.

        No COGS category!? This may make QBSE a no-go for us. At first, it looked like an excellent product, only to figure out that simple things like COGs and customer receipts don't exist. WHY, QB, WHY!?!?!?!
